This Privacy Policy explains how EquityCF Inc, doing business as EquityCF (“EquityCF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit our website, create an account, submit a founder application, schedule a consultation, request information, subscribe to communications, or otherwise interact with our services.
This Privacy Policy applies to the EquityCF website, forms, accounts, communications, and related services collectively referred to as the “Services.”
It does not govern websites, platforms, or services operated independently by third parties, including Silicon Prairie Capital Partners, LLC. Those parties maintain their own privacy policies and practices.

The information we collect depends on how you interact with EquityCF.
Information You Provide to Us

Founder and Company Information
When a founder or company submits an application, requests a consultation, or seeks assistance with a potential capital raise, we may collect:
- company legal name and website;
- business description and industry;
- formation state, formation year, and entity structure;
- company stage and number of employees;
- proposed raise amount and timeline;
- intended use of proceeds;
- information about the company’s customers, community, or prospective investor audience;
- fundraising readiness information;
- information about available pitch decks, business plans, financial statements, projections, legal counsel, or accounting support;
- founder names and contact information;
- documents or materials voluntarily provided to us; and
- other information relevant to evaluating or preparing for a potential securities offering.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information or confidential information that we have not specifically requested.

2. Information We Do Not Intend to Collect Directly
EquityCF is not a broker-dealer or funding portal and does not independently process securities investments.
When you proceed to an investment or regulated offering process, Silicon Prairie or another registered intermediary and its service providers may separately collect information such as:
- Social Security or taxpayer-identification numbers;
- government-issued identification;
- bank-account or payment information;
- accreditation or investment-limit information;
- identity-verification information;
- anti-money-laundering information;
- investment orders and transaction records; and
- tax documentation.
That information is governed by the privacy policies and legal obligations of the registered intermediary and its applicable service providers.
You should not send this information to EquityCF unless we specifically request it through an authorized and secure process.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- create and manage user accounts;
- authenticate users and maintain account security;
- respond to questions, requests, and support inquiries;
- schedule and conduct consultations;
- evaluate founder and company submissions;
- assist companies in preparing for potential capital raises;
- communicate with founders, investors, prospective users, and partners;
- send administrative, transactional, security, and account-related messages;
- send educational resources, company updates, and promotional communications where permitted;
- personalize website content and communications;
- manage leads and relationships;
- refer or introduce potential issuers to Silicon Prairie or other service providers;
- facilitate onboarding with regulated intermediaries and professional service providers;
- understand how the Services are accessed and used;
- diagnose technical problems and improve website performance;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
- enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements;

- accountants and auditors;
- escrow agents;
- transfer agents;
- identity-verification and compliance providers;
- offering-document providers;
- marketing or communications providers; and
- other parties involved in evaluating, preparing, hosting, or administering a potential securities offering.
Silicon Prairie and other independent parties may separately determine how they process information under their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
Business and Referral Partners
We may disclose information to business partners when necessary to provide a requested service, facilitate an introduction, evaluate a potential business relationship, or coordinate services.
We will not authorize a partner to represent that your company has been accepted for an offering unless that acceptance has actually occurred.
Legal and Safety Purposes
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or governmental request;
- cooperate with regulators, law enforcement, or legal proceedings;

Business Transactions

5. Selling and Sharing Personal Information
EquityCF does not sell personal information for monetary payment.
We do not currently use or disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may disclose personal information to service providers, regulated intermediaries, professional advisers, and other parties for the business purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Those operational disclosures are not intended as sales of personal information.
We will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required choices before materially changing these practices.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, scripts, and similar technologies.
These technologies may be used to:
- operate essential website functions;
- keep users signed in;
- remember preferences;
- protect accounts and prevent abuse;

7. Google Authentication
EquityCF may allow you to create or access an account using Google authentication.
When you use this feature, Google may provide us with information authorized through the sign-in process, such as your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier.
We use that information to authenticate your account and provide the Services. Google’s handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy and account settings.
EquityCF does not receive your Google password.
8. Marketing Communications
When permitted by law, we may send you educational resources, news, offering updates, founder resources, or promotional communications.
You can unsubscribe from promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link included in those messages or by contacting us.
Even after you unsubscribe from promotional messages, we may continue sending necessary transactional or administrative communications, such as:
- account notices;
- security alerts;
- appointment confirmations;
- responses to your requests;
- application-status communications; and
- legally required notices.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:
- provide the Services;
- maintain business and transaction records;
- manage founder and user relationships;
- comply with legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, or contractual obligations;
- resolve disputes;
- prevent fraud and abuse; and
- enforce our agreements.
Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, how it is used, the sensitivity of the information, and applicable legal requirements.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete it, deidentify it, or securely dispose of it.
Information held by Silicon Prairie or another independent third party is subject to that party’s retention requirements and privacy practices.

These safeguards may include access controls, authentication measures, restricted permissions, secure service providers, encryption in transit where supported, monitoring, and other security practices appropriate to the information we maintain.
No website, database, communication system, or method of electronic transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that personal information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, lost, or destroyed without authorization.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may disclose these categories to service providers, regulated intermediaries, professional advisers, business partners, authorities, and transaction participants as described above.
EquityCF does not sell personal information for monetary consideration and does not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
California residents may submit applicable access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests using the contact information below.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. There is not currently a universally accepted standard for responding to those signals, and the Services may not respond to them.
We will recognize browser-based opt-out preference signals when required by applicable law and when those signals apply to our data practices.
13. Information About Children
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information without legally valid authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
The ability to invest in an offering may also be subject to age, capacity, account, and eligibility requirements imposed by the registered intermediary.
Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information may contact us using the information below.
14. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Services may contain links to or integrations with websites and services operated by third parties.
These may include Silicon Prairie, authentication providers, scheduling providers, social-media platforms, document providers, accountants, attorneys, and other vendors.
We do not control the privacy, security, or data practices of independent third parties. You should review their privacy policies before providing information through their services.
A link to a third-party service does not necessarily mean that EquityCF endorses all of its practices.
15. International Users
When you access the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our providers operate.
Those jurisdictions may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or Services.
When we update the policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. We may provide additional notice of material changes when appropriate or legally required.
Your continued use of the Services after an updated policy becomes effective is subject to the revised policy.
